There are hundreds of heart rate monitors and cycling which makes it difficult to choose the best for you. I had a hard time to choose an exercise followed by some time ago. Each monitor has different characteristics and some are more hard work and understanding. You might think that all you need is your heart rate, but these new monitors have every type of function.

With all these features, you need a good manual and all monitors have an. Without it, making it difficult to understand how to use it. If you exercise to stay up, so you need a good quality unit. So do not go overboard and buy the most expensive. You do not need all these features.

When considering a heart rate monitor on a bike, buy a median price which has features that could be used in the future.

How then can you determine what you want to buy? Here is some points to consider:

• Are you going to collect and store the heart rate over time?
• What other information you want to collect other than heart rate? The monitor will pick it up?
• Where you want to take control? At the wrist or you have to take the breast?
• Can download data from your heart for storage facilities?
• Do we require continuous monitoring?

If you decide to buy the chest strap heart rate monitor to bike, you always use it. The monitor sends information to another device on the wrist or elsewhere. A digital signal gives better results.
