How do I use brake & clutch when driving in very slow traffic?
In a very-very stop & go slow moving traffic when I’m on 1st gear and use brake the car stalls.
But when I just use clutch so that the car keeps on moving at less speed (1-3mph) it does not stalls. Is this the right way of driving or I’m wearing out my clutch plates?
The clutch in unison with brake is an acceptable method of driving in slow traffic,but putting the vehicle in it,s lowest gear and letting it roll forward would give it an advantage because you will save the clutch and throwout bearings at the same time.Proving you maintain the proper rpm range.Stay off brake pedel at this point,the vehicle will stall and you run th chance of becoming involved in a rear-end collision.
